Purchasing a breeding female obviously provides you with the opportunity to experience the joys that the birth of a cria can bring. Breeding females have different temperaments, conformation, fibre, breeding and genetic attributes, and we are happy to discuss different females that might meet your breeding plan.
Of course alpacas are herd animals and as such do not do well alone. Many beginning breeders and lifestyle farmers purchase a pet or wether alpaca or two to keep their first breeding female company.
While alpaca are generally healthy and low maintenance animals to farm, many small breeders insure their breeding stock to protect their investment.
