Peaceful, Gentle Alpaca
The Alpaca (Lama pacos) is a species of South American domesticated camelid mammal that was traditionally kept in herds that grazed on the high-level plateaus of the Andes of Southern Peru, Western Bolivia, Ecuador, and Northern Chile.
There are two modern breeds of Alpaca: the Suri Alpaca (dreadlock-type fleece) and the Huacaya Alpaca (sheep-type fleece).
When you take a Sherlin Alpaca Farm Tour, you will be able to meet and interact with both types of Alpaca, and if you are lucky, there may be some babies you can feed.
